Abstract
Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to simultaneously optimize the tear index and electrical conductivity
of newly developed conductive paper made from kenaf fiber and polyaniline (KF-PANI). The Design of Experiment
(DOE) was used to study the effect of process parameters. The measured tear index and electrical conductivity values
were in good agreement with those of the predicted optimized process. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image
of the optimized KF-PANI paper revealed no significant fiber damages.
